Brough of Birsay: Solitude Beneath Brooding Skies

Beneath a vast, brooding Orkney sky, the Brough of Birsay rises gently from the soft turquoise waters of the Atlantic. Its vivid green slopes bring a quiet splash of colour to the subdued coastal landscape, while the tiny lighthouse stands alone on the horizon.
