As I gaze upon the stunning Scots Pine Tree Island amidst the tranquil waters of Loch Assynt, I can’t help but marvel at the beauty of this place. The autumnal sunrise casts its warm hues on the landscape, enveloping it in a soft golden glow. As I stand here, I can feel the haunting symphony of stags bellowing all around me, their voices echoing through the glens and adding an ethereal element to the already enchanting scene.

I’m reminded that October & November is rutting season in these parts, and the sound of stags reverberates through the hills and valleys, truly amplifying the natural beauty of the land. In the distance, Ben More stands tall and proud, providing the perfect shelter for the sun as it rises and illuminates this magnificent setting. It’s truly an unforgettable experience, one that I cherish dearly and captured in one of my favourite images of Assynt.
