Hi Dean - I am a bit late. I want to thank you for a wonderful workshop on Harris and Lewis two weeks ago. Despite the unsettled weather, I loved the experience and challenge of photographing in the changing conditions. With the loss of my 24-120mm lens and ND filter on the first day (which has already been replaced!), I found the challenge of using just my wide angle and long lenses very rewarding. Thank you for taking us to all the locations and helping me to see the opportunities for image making there.
Thank you also to Sally for her patience with my dietary restrictions. She is a fabulous cook and the meals were all delicious. I loved her sense of humor so much. I loved sharing the house with Lesley and Bridget. We really bonded and shared wonderful stories and laughter.
Finally, thank you for getting up at o’dark thirty to take me to the airport in Stornaway on Saturday. The flight worked perfectly and I enjoyed a day in Glasgow, contributing to the local economy.
So all in all, it was a great week and I have you to thank! Your willingness to pick me up in Inverness and take me to the ferry at the outset was a god-send. And I appreciated it very much!
I hope to see you on another workshop, probably in 2027 as I am fairly booked up for 2026. I will follow up with you for recommendations.
Thank you again for a marvelous week of photography. I am still going through my images and particularly like the ones with the "bleak, moody and depressing" skies as you call them!
Most Sincerely, Ruth McCully
