Join me on my Small Isles photography trip and take a journey around Scotland’s stunning west coast.

Discover the enchanting archipelago of Canna, Eigg, Muck, Coll and Rum—pearls nestled just south of the iconic Isle of Skye, bridging the rugged Scottish mainland with the mystical Western Isles. The Isle of Muck is part of the picturesque Small Isles in the Inner Hebrides of Scotland. It lies approximately 10 miles off the west coast of the Scottish mainland and is reached by boat from either Mallaig (year round) or Arisaig (summer months only).

Spanning 1,500 acres, this charming island offers a unique blend of history, natural beauty, wildlife and community making it an idyllic destination for families, outdoor enthusiasts, and nature lovers alike.

 

Isle of Rum

The Isle of Rum is the real jewel of Scotland’s Inner Hebrides, diamond in shape and diamond by nature. With amazing wildlife, an eccentric castle, walks to suit all levels, beautiful beaches and stunning scenery, our island has it all. Whether you are able to come for a day-trip or come and stay, Rum has something for everyone; a stroll around Kinloch Village, a visit to the local craft shops; an expedition out to one of the remote mountain bothies or a hike along the Rum Cuillin; there is an adventure around every corner.

Isle of Eigg

The Isle of Eigg is one of the four Small Isles. Five miles long by three miles wide, Eigg lies 12 miles off Mallaig on Scotland’s west coast, just south of the Isle of Skye. Eigg has a fascinating history, superb wildlife and a vibrant community. 

Isle of Canna

Canna is the westernmost of the Small Isles archipelago, in the Scottish Inner Hebrides. It is linked to the neighbouring island of Sanday by a road and sandbanks at low tide. The island is 4.3 miles (6.9 km) long and 1 mile (1.6 km) wide.
