The western outpost on the Isle of Scalpay is certainly no easy stroll, especially in the midst of a driving rain and an intense gusting wind. However, despite these challenging conditions, I remained undeterred in my pursuit of a magnificent photograph and perhaps even catching a glimpse of a mesmerizing minky whale. And rest assured, the amazement found at Eilean Glas never disappoints in regards to the former and infrequently regarding the latter.

This photograph was taken with a shutter speed of 120 seconds which I felt was a touch ambitious given the unfavourable weather conditions. But thankfully, my perseverance and a little luck were rewarded with this quite exquisite photograph. I hope you enjoy it.
