Photo of Nisabost Beach, Isle of Harris - Fine Art Prints
My abiding memory of this photograph, taken last week, was of a fascinating conversation I had with a retired GP who lived in one of the Crofts leading down to Luskentyre Beach.
Â
We chatted for well over an hour about the Island, the people, the history, the future, the culture and of Taransay. The beautiful uninhabited island in the distance.
Â
At least now, I know why the deers on Taransay are swimming across the Sound to the relative safety of South Harris, where only until quite recently, no deers were to be found.
Â
Just goes to show how the experience of capturing an image is just as exciting as capturing it.
Â
As we talked, this beautiful inlet of water developed before our very eyes…not only had I never seen this pattern before, but even Bill, the retired Harris GP captured it on his phone.
